Whereas the city of Tokyo was already a global metropolis, it's newest incarnation is almost unrecognizable from it's previous state. Less than half the citizenry is of pure Japanese ancestry, most are various nationalities. Literally millions of people moved to this part of the world to take part in the econiomic boom that is the rise of Megatokyo.
