Quite often when a website or a blog or some amateur endeavor takes the time to quote Monty Python and affirm “We’re not dead yet!” they’re usually denying reality.
Except in our case!
We really aren’t dead yet! OK, I admit, there were moments there. It got sort of grim and dark and there were harps and crying relatives and long tunnels with big lights.. But thankfully, it just turned out to be a subway station with some depressing street buskers.
In fact FMP is beginning to flourish. We’ve got Bubblegum Crisis: The Audio Drama looming on the horizon and a whole host of goodies coming down the pipeline in the not far off future.
And the future’s so bright, we gotta wear shades.

The voice actress we had lined up for the role of Ceilia Stingray cannot continue and we need to replace her PDQ!

Forward Momentum Production’s news and information podcast, “Forward March!” is our “highly irregular, irreverent and ir….um…we need another adjective” podcast that’s your source for everything FMP.

Enjoy your thirty or so minutes as Dev the Duct Tape Bandit drags you through news about FMP projects, a few tips and tricks that are surprisingly useful to the audio-dramatist, and then we’ll hang out around the water cooler for whatever is on Dev’s mind (since we kinda doubt there’s anything IN it…)

Now CASTING! Bubblegum Crisis: “Tinsel City Blues”

Over at our Auditions page, we’ve just posted a casting call for the second arc of our Bubblegum Crisis audio drama, “Tinsel City Blues”

The casting call runs until Saturday, September 3rd. We’re looking for a lot of fresh voices, and some very important characters get introduced in these crucial episodes. If you’re interested, head over and check it out!

The Bubble Grows!

The first episode of the Bubblegum Crisis audio drama is about 80% complete. We’re almost ready to begin casting for the second arc of episodes as well.

It’s all starting to come together.

New Forward March: “SoS wrap up special” coming next week.

Next week should see the release of a special episode of Forward March! We’ll focus on the the final thoughts of wrapping what has been FMP’s most successful project, Sea of Stars. We’ll have special messages from the cast, feedback on the second season of the show and a gag reel from season two and Invasion.

In the week or so after that release, we’ll have another special episode of March. This one will be a very brief news update, and then entirely be given over to an expanded Tips and Tricks section, where we finally get into the editing part of our “The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Creating Audio Drama” series.

The additional casting call for the second arc of Bubblegum Crisis episodes should be coming down the pipeline soon. As always, I’ll keep you posted.

Of Seas and Bubbles…

Two weeks after Sea of Stars comes to a close, it is my happy privilege to announce that Sea of Stars: Invasion! has been nominated for the 2011 Parsec award for Best Audio Drama: Short Form. So far, we’ve just cleared eligibility, we’re see what happens down the line.

On the other side of the street, Bubblegum Crisis is shaping up nicely! Lines are coming in and the first episode is sounding phenomenal. There will probably be another casting call for the SECOND arc of episodes in the near future. This one would be significantly smaller than the first, but contain several key roles for the future of the series. As always I’ll keep you posted.

This is it, night has fallen.
